Bree Gomez recently received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an emphasis in sculpture and design. After taking a course last spring with Jaume Plensa, which culminated in a public exhibition at the Richard Gray Gallery in Chicago, she has been utilizing light to activate public spaces. This past September her interactive sculpture, Accord was exhibited at the Grand Rapids Art Museum and ranked among the top 25 out of 1,713 artists for ArtPrize 2010. Most recently, her installation, Assimilation, was selected for Chicago's Art Loop Open. Her work is represented both nationally and internationally by S.R. Brennen Gallery in Palm Desert, California and Galleria Romanelli in Florence, Italy.
